Baby Sprout Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Sealed Tech provides Baby Sprout: Care, Love & Grow (“Baby Sprout”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
For privacy questions or requests, email contact@sealedtech.com.au.
Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, Baby Sprout processes:
-
Account information, including your email address, account identifier and selected family role.
-
Baby profile information, including name, birthday and growth information.
-
Care records, including feeding, nappies, sleep, medicines, health notes and growth measurements.
-
Pregnancy journal information, including due dates, symptoms, appointments, movement records, weight, period information and notes.
-
Family membership, invitations and sharing permissions.
-
Information you provide when contacting support.
Only enter information about another person when you have appropriate authority or permission.
How we use information
We use information to provide the journal, display records and trends, authenticate accounts, synchronize shared family records, manage invitations and permissions, maintain security and respond to support requests.
Baby Sprout is a record-keeping tool and does not replace professional medical advice.
Information stored on your device
Baby Sprout stores journal information on your device. Local copies may also be included in device backups, depending on your settings.
Signing out does not necessarily remove stored journals, downloaded records or backups. Uninstalling the app does not delete cloud records or copies held by other family members.
Accounts and cloud services
Baby Sprout uses Unity Gaming Services, including Authentication, Player Accounts, Cloud Code and Cloud Save, to provide accounts and family synchronization.
When you use cloud features, account identifiers, family settings and shared journal records are transmitted to and processed by Unity services. Unity handles email account passwords through its sign-in service; Baby Sprout does not store those passwords in your journal.
Service providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses, device information and service logs, to operate and secure their services. Processing may occur outside Australia.
Read Unity’s privacy policy at:
https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
Family sharing
When you create or join a family, shared baby care records are available to authorized family members. Account identifiers, selected roles and family membership details may also be visible within the family.
The family creator and the member assigned the mother role can manage membership as supported by the app. Roles are selected by users; Baby Sprout does not verify family relationships.
Removing access prevents future authorized cloud access once the change takes effect. It cannot recall information that someone has already viewed, downloaded, exported or copied.
Pregnancy journal
Pregnancy records are stored separately from the shared baby care journal and are encrypted by the app.
Pregnancy sharing is controlled by the member assigned the mother role. Approved members may receive read-only or editing access, depending on the permissions granted. Sharing may expose all records within the shared pregnancy journal, including sensitive notes and period information.
The pregnancy journal password is separate from the account password. Resetting an account password does not recover a forgotten pregnancy journal password.
Purchases
The current trial version does not automatically charge users after the family-sharing trial ends.
If paid purchases are enabled in a future version, Google Play will process Android payments. Baby Sprout will not receive your full payment card details. Purchase identifiers and subscription status may be processed to verify purchases, restore access and manage sharing entitlements.
Disclosure of information
We disclose information to:
-
Family members you authorize through sharing features.
-
Service providers needed to operate the app, including Unity and, where purchases are enabled, Google Play.
-
Authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect security and legal rights.
We do not sell journal information or use baby or pregnancy records for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain on your device until removed. Cloud records remain until deleted through the service or an administrative deletion process. Trial expiry and signing out do not automatically delete records.
To request access, correction, or deletion of your Baby Sprout account and associated cloud information, email contact@sealedtech.com.au with the subject “Baby Sprout privacy request.” Include your account email address or account ID and describe your request. Do not send passwords or sensitive journal content.
We may ask for information needed to verify that you control the account. We will explain any information that must be retained for legal or security reasons and the applicable retention period.
Shared records may concern more than one person. We will assess requests involving shared family information and explain how they will be handled. Copies independently retained by other family members are outside our control.
Deletion of your Baby Sprout information does not necessarily delete your separate Unity Player Account. Requests concerning that account may also need to be made to Unity.
Security
Baby Sprout uses access controls, encrypted network connections and encryption for the pregnancy journal. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Protect your device, account credentials, journal passwords and exported files. Share access only with people you trust.
Children’s information
Baby Sprout is intended for adult parents and caregivers. Adults may enter information about children in their care. Children should not create accounts or submit information independently.
Privacy questions and complaints
Contact contact@sealedtech.com.au to raise a privacy concern or complaint. Describe your concern without including unnecessary health information. We will review it and respond.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The latest version will show its update date. We will provide additional notice or request consent where required.
